Designed with user experience at its core, SDL Trados Studio 2019 transforms how new users get up and running, helps experienced users make the most of the powerful features, ensures new levels of.
Pros: If you are or intend to be a professional translator, you must have a CAT Tool. And when it comes to CAT Tools, Trados Studio is the biggest reference.
It's pricey and you may think it's too much money to invest in a software. Well, if you work full-time with translations, it will pay off!
It makes your job so much easier, faster and more consistent that you will catch yourself adding even very small files to your Trados prior to translate, just to make sure you can benefit from your own Memory Translation and Quality Check tools.
In addition to all those pros, it's important to mention that it's a reference in this industry, so if you are willing to work for translation agencies, they will eventually ask if you have a valid Trados license and start sending your Trados projects, instead of a .xls or .doc file.

Cons: In spite of all the advantages and pros of using Trados for work, it still has some bugs that really bother the user.
My Trados will crash and close at least once a day or every two days. Fortunately, since all translations are copied string by string to my MT on the go, these crashes normally do not cause me to lose any job, but it's still an annoying waste of time to re-open the software every time.
It is not so straightforward as it could be when you want to add a new file to a project or do some other actions on it.
After all, it's one of those incredible powerful tools that you will take time to master (and, after 4 years working with it, I still discover new functions every month, feeling that those could be clearer and easier to be seen/found).

Overall: It's a great and necessary tool for professional translators.
However, it's expensive and still has some minor bugs that simply shouldn't be there, given the fact we are talking about a leader from its industry with so many years of expertise involved.
